I'm Barbara Bush, and I live near Silver City with my husband of 38 years. I’m a proud mother of three and grandmother to five. Family, tradition, and a strong work ethic guide everything I do. I’m a doer, focused on building on what works while improving what doesn’t. In my careers in business and academia, I’ve always fought to ensure people get the support and resources they need, and I’m committed to doing the same for the residents of District 4.
With a degree in Behavioral Sciences and a minor in business, I approach challenges with a big-picture mindset, always connecting the dots. I believe in doing what’s right, even when it’s difficult. Community involvement is important to me—I’m active in my Church Fellowship, where I share my expertise in technology and teach strength and flexibility classes.
I believe in a holistic approach to addressing the needs of our community, focusing on healthcare, affordable housing, job creation, adult education, and community development. Working together, we can ensure Grant County grows stronger. I am committed to collaborating with local businesses, healthcare providers like Gila Regional Medical Center, and educational institutions such as WNMU to create more opportunities and improve access to vital resources.
